A non-invasive treatment that tightens the skin around the face and neck
Ultherapy is a non-invasive rejuvenation procedure that uses ultrasound to reshape the skin.
The treatment uses a tried-and-true medical technology – ultrasound, in use for over 50 years – and the body’s natural regenerative response to restore the skin’s memory and support of its underlying tissue in a gentle and progressive way.
What does the treatment involve?
Set directly on the skin, an even-surfaced applicator projects an image that helps the physician determine where the ultrasound energy will be directed. This same applicator then generates a low-intensity heat that penetrates just deep enough to produce the desired effect without damaging the surface of skin. The heat regenerates collagen that progressively firms and remodels the skin.
Length of treatment: 60 to 90 minutes.
Frequency: A single treatment is enough to start the gradual rejuvenation process.
No recovery time necessary
Most people go back to their daily activities right after treatment.
Are there secondary effects?
After the treatment, your skin may look a bit red or slightly swollen but these effects should disappear within a few hours.
No particular post-treatment care is required but the use of sunscreen to protect the skin is recommended. This goes for everyone!
Is it painful?
Everyone has a different pain threshold, but the treatment is quite bearable for most patients if they take a painkiller.
Many patients describe a tingling or, in some cases, a burning sensation under the skin after treatment. An anesthetic cream is also used for greater comfort.
The rejuvenation process starts from the very first treatment but the complete effect will transpire over a period of 3 to 6 months; in other words, you look progressively younger.
Ultherapy: to counteract the effects of time and gravity
By continually stimulating the replenishing of collagen, Ultherapy yields natural-looking results such as:
- Firmer skin
- Significant elevation of the eyebrow line
- Seemingly bigger eyes
- Better defined jaw contour
- More youthful appearance!
What skin conditions can Ultherapy correct?
- Face and neck skin slackening
